Check Yourself. (Part 2)

Last week, I proposed a challenge–notice how you speak to yourself and change negative thoughts into kind and loving thoughts. I also challenged you to look in the mirror and say something nice to yourself each day.

This week I’d like you to think about this. How do you perceive or think about those around you? What is your internal dialogue about them? What do you actually say about others around you? Does it sound something like this?

_____ is so difficult to work with.

_____ does not appreciate or respect me.

I can’t get along with people at work.

It’s time to check yourself. Give yourself a day. Note any negative thoughts that you have about people around you. Then, when you have time for quiet and reflection, examine those thoughts or words. Ask yourself if any good can come from those thoughts or words.

Find the words that you say about those people, and change the thought. Make them thoughts of love and abundance.

_____ is compassionate, understanding, and easy to work with.

_____ always treats me with courtesy and respect.

I always work with the most wonderful people.

For the next week, check the thoughts and words you have about other people. Remember that we are all one. Each person in your life is a reflection of you. Treat them as you wish to be treated. Your thoughts and words become your reality. Make your reality a place where you will nourish your mind, body, and spirit.
