Bless It.

Do you find yourself going through your day feeling mad, sad, tired, or just drained?

How do you protect yourself from people and things that drain your energy?

When do you feel most drained? At home? At work?

Why are you feeling that way?

How you would like to feel?

You want to live in joy.

If your circumstances do not bring you joy and you can’t make changes to those circumstances at the present time, you can still find your joy if it’s been temporarily lost by establishing a practice to shield yourself–body, energy, heart, mind, and spirit.

If you find yourself feeling drained, practice the following steps to shield your energy and create a more abundant life.

1. Meditate.

Sit in silence. Be still. You can do this for as little as one minute or as long as you                 like. Before you begin, start by saying a word of thanks (for whatever).

2. Affirm.

Say aloud how you would like to feel. “I am calm.” “I am filled with divine love.                 Nothing can disturb my peace.” Say whatever it is. By saying how you would like                 to feel, you are putting those feelings into action.

3. Bless it.

Mentally walk through your day. Begin in your car. Imagine yourself in your                       car. Repeat your affirmation. Bless your workplace with love before you leave                     your car. Imagine the building, the hallways, the office, the classrooms, the                           stairs, the elevators, the furniture, all of the spaces/rooms that you will                                   encounter. Bless them with love. Now imagine all of the people you will                                 encounter–the people you work for and with. Bless them all with love. Affirm                     that you work for and with kind and loving souls. (If home has you feeling                           drained, then go through this process with your home, family, and familial                           responsibilities).

As you move through your day, stop any time you feel a negative emotion surfacing. Breathe in through your nose and out through your nose if you can not sit in silence. Slow down the breath. Affirm again how you would like to feel (mentally or aloud). Bless it again (mentally or aloud).

Practice these steps consistently for a week. You will be surprised at how empowered and free you feel.
