Light in the Dark

This morning I woke up to the sound of rain.

I immediately thought “I am thankful for a roof over my head.”

We once had rain pour through the roof into our bedroom, but we have always been blessed with a roof over our heads.

If you have running water, clothes for you and your family, food for your family, and a roof over your head, you are blessed.

If you find yourself complaining, stop. Find the blessing in everything.

You woke up this morning.

You have a roof over your head.

You have running water.

Your family has clothing to wear.

Your family has food to eat.

If you are reading this, you have so much to be thankful for.

Be a beacon of light. There’s enough darkness. Don’t add to it. Be the light in the darkness.
